METALLIC GASKETS

CORRUGATED GASKET – MAXIGRAPH

Maxigraph corrugated gasket consists of a corrugated metallic core encapsulated by a graphite coating.

It has been designed to seal on low load applications previously designed for Spiral Wound gaskets such as 150 and also 300lb lines.

Features:

  • Seals on low load applications
  • Available in a range of core materials – the standard being Stainless Steel 316

Advantages:

  • Corrugations prevent extrusion of the facing material
  • Uniform graphite density across the profile ensures excellent adaptability of the facing at the peaks to create a good seal even on worn flanges
  • Excellent chemical resistance

KAMMPROFILE GASKET

The Kammprofile gasket is mainly used in applications where often the gasket width is limited. Maxiprofiles are also often used as an upgrade on applications currently using metal jacketed gaskets due to the improved leaktightness, ease of installation and the possibility of reuse.

Features:

  • Suitable for a range of chemicals
  • Suitable for use in high pressure
  • Can be refurbished and reused
  • Can be manufactured to suit standard flange applications and vessels
  • Can be manufactured for use with narrow flanges

Advantages:

  • Used for applications requiring a high integrity seal
  • Suitable for high and low temperatures
  • Suitable for small flange widths

SPIRAL WOUND GASKET

Maxiflex spiral wound gasket combines the ease of sealing of a graphite, PTFE or mica filler with the strength afforded by a specially profiled metallic, spring-like reinforcement.

The sealing element is manufactured by interleaving plies of alternating metallic winding strip and filler to create a gasket that is robust and easy to install.

Features:

  • Safe and reliable sealing
  • Suitable for high temperatures and pressures
  • Can be manufactured to suit standard flanges and also custom-designed vessels

Advantages:

  • Ability to recover under the action of fluctuating loads caused by process fluid pressure and temperature changes, flange rotation, bolt relaxation and creep
  • Available in a range of configurations and materials.

SENTRY GASKET

A safe, high integrity seal that provides operators with the ability to test the integrity of a bolted connection.

The Sentry helps reduce the need to involve large volumes of nitrogen and reduce down time whilst performing integrity and pressure tests, maximising plant up time and efficiency.

Features:

  • Allows leak testing on individual flanged joints without the need to pressurise the full system.

Advantages:

  • Speeds up the leakage testing reducing plant downtime.
  • Significantly reduces the volume of testing media required.
  • Validates individual joint integrity at installation reducing the need to re-visit the joint.
  • Joints can be tested and adjusted if leakage occurs, in one visit to the flange.

RTJ GASKET

Maxigraph corrugated RTJ Gasket consists of a corrugated metallic core encapsulated by a graphite coating. It has been designed to seal on low load applications previously designed for Spiral Wound gaskets such as 150 and also 300lb lines.

Features:

  • Designed to be used with API 6B, ASME B16.5 and API 6BX (dependent on the gasket style)
  • Can be used for high pressures
  • Wide range of materials available

Advantages:

  • The gasket material is selected on a number of grounds
  • Chemical compatibility with the media and the hardness of the flange
